2007. Nicholas Jackiw. "Discrete Mathematics and Dynamic Geometry." Presented at the NCTM 2007 Annual Meeting, this talk explores connections between Sketchpad's land of continuous geometric transformation and subjects drawn from discrete mathematics, where structures are finite (non-continuous). Topics include elementary number theory (multiples, factors, prime numbers, GCDs, Fibonacci numbers, and flower patterns), algorithms, recurrence relations, and Boolean or binary logic.

2006. Scott Steketee. "Dynamic Algebra Software: Bringing Functions Alive with Sketchpad." Presented at the NCTM 2006 Annual Meeting, this talk looks at a number of activities in which the power of dynamic mathematics software gives students the opportunity to vary the variables, generate families of functions, and transform functions.

2005. Nicholas Jackiw and Steven Rasmussen. "Voyages Beyond the Geometric Plane: Advanced Explorations with The Geometer's Sketchpad." Presented at the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, this talk focuses on how the geometry of the Euclidean plane has served as a model in the development of other mathematical topics at the advanced level. Through a Dynamic Geometry perspective, we develop two particularly satisfying results: Euler's formula in complex analysis and the possibility of {k, 3} tessellations of the hyperbolic plane.
